1724 Document written on leather in English It is dated 4 August 1724, signed at the manor of Blakenham (in the Suffolk region, UK). It is a deed signed on behalf of the rector of the Royal College of St. Mary of Eton near Windsor, by a certain R. Martin (I have not been able to find out who this is). It is very difficult to decipher exactly everything it contains, with many abbreviations of terms, in fact most of the words are abbreviated. It is a kind of contract. The stamp is from the same period, as is the monogram of King George I on the back. It is written on calfskin.
